Welcome To Alex's website

Thanks for visiting my website. Here you will find my online resume, contact information, and samples of my design work.

I have been a professional QA and pre-sales specialist engineer for almost 16 years, and have been doing design work for even longer. My work ranges from graphic, web, logo and poster art and I have a passion for UX and IxDA design work. In addition, I have been a musician for 26 years, went to music school in California, and released a couple of CDs of original music in the mid-late 90's and played in the local Atlanta scene during that period of time as well. On this page you will find my resume and contact information as well as samples of my design work.

Projects

Here and in the portfolio section you will find several samples of my design work

Project: HP WebInspect interface

Brief: Because my interface design portfolio is small, I decided to showcase my skills in UX design by working on a real product. This project consists of a wireframe, a prototype made from the wirefram, and several interface redesign treatments. This was done without research, only my own experience. So there were no guerilla observations, card sorting, or interviews done in order to create this. It is merely meant to showcase my ability to wireframe, prototype, and redesign application interfaces. These are merely simple examples.

Project: Suckerhead CD Packaging and artwork ready for print in 24 hours.

Brief: Given a hand drawn logo, a few photos, and a document containing song lyrics and liner notes, I was given just over 24 hours to design a CD booklet inset, tray card, and CD silkscreen print, and have it ready for printing in the proper formats and color-space. I succeeded with time to spare, but the design was rather simple.
